Packers Reward Cobb With 4 Year Deal: My Thoughts

The Green Bay Packers traditionally avoid making a splash in free agency. Green Bay just announced that they rewarded star wide receiver Randall Cobb with a 4 year 40 million dollar a deal contract.   I like the move why.

The Packers initially drafted Cobb in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft and signed him to a 4 year entry level contract. At the time that was a huge bargain. SportsTrac.com broke down the contract. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/green-bay-packers/randall-cobb/

Cobb is a versatile system player built for the Green Bay Packers offensive system.

The Packers already have Rodgers and Nelson signed to long term contracts, why not resign Cobb and attempt another Super Bowl run ?
