Versatility: The Spring Practice Word Of The Day.

Complex play calling isn't new to College Football and the Badger appear to be interested in the trend. Multiple stories online have mentioned players trying out different positions during spring practice. http://host.madison.com/sports/college/football/badgers-football-transfer-cornerback-serge-trezy-works-out-at-running/article_0e97ab27-11e2-576d-9649-de000c3df9bb.html. This trend became news because Wisconsin still has holes on both sides of the ball.

The traditional Big 10 ground and pound offense is repetitive. It worked for Ohio State but I don't think that it will work for the Badgers this season. Call me crazy but I think the Badgers should add a few wrinkles to their offense. Versatility will enhance Wisconsin's offense. Tanner McEvoy is the key to my theory. The Senior quarterback could end up playing multiple positions this year including Wide receiver.

Wisconsin's bread and butter has always been the running game. I don't think Serge Trezy will join the rich tradition. The former High School Running Back needs to learn how to play Cornerback. The injury bug has bitten the Badgers defense early. The only way to overcome the bug is by giving Trezy more defensive reps. Wisconsin is asking for consistency but insists on moving around the wrong players.
